New York City Students to Receive Hands-on STEM Programming through Renewed Partnership Between Learn Fresh and GameChanger

June 1, 2026, New York, NY – Learn Fresh and GameChanger, the #1 rated youth sports app for live streaming, highlights, scheduling, statistics, and scorekeeping, today announced the renewal of their partnership to continue expanding access to NBA Math Hoops Live across New York City, an innovative STEM and basketball learning experience that has already reached educational sites nationwide.

Going into its second year, the partnership will bring Math Hoops kits to 20 educational sites across New York City this spring, building on GameChanger’s original support that helped launch the program at 50 sites nationwide. The initiative provides educators with training, curriculum resources, and hands-on STEM programming designed to connect students’ passion for basketball with math learning and physical activities.

The effort is part of Learn Fresh’s broader strategy to distribute NBA Math Hoops Live kits to engage students with the subject and physical activity across the New York City region, alongside additional community and corporate partners, including Alipay and the New York Liberty.

Developed by Learn Fresh, NBA Math Hoops Live is an interactive version of the organization’s flagship NBA Math Hoops program. Rooted in the same core elements — including a basketball-themed board game, 10-lesson curriculum, mobile app, and community events — NBA Math Hoops Live creates a high-energy, movement-based experience that merges students’ passion for basketball with STEM learning.

The initiative will provide educators with the training and resources needed to facilitate the program at their sites. Offered as a free program, NBA Math Hoops Live kits will be accessible to schools and out-of-school programs with Learn Fresh staff providing ongoing implementation support.

The rollout of the NBA Math Hoops Live kits this spring will culminate in GameChanger’s continued involvement with Learn Fresh’s annual NBA Math Hoops Global Championship, a multi-day event that brings together students from across the United States and around the world for competition, cultural exchange, and STEM engagement. This summer will mark GameChanger’s second consecutive year helping curate an experience as part of the event.
