GameChanger Adds Scorekeeping in 7 New Sports

The GameChanger app now offers scorekeeping in seven new sports: soccer, football, field hockey, hockey, lacrosse, rugby, and water polo.

This new scorekeeping mode gives team staff members the ability to track the key plays happening in the game, and lets family and fans follow the game via a live play-by-play. If the game is being streamed on video, the scorekeeper’s input will power a live scoreboard on top of the video — allowing teams to put on a professional-level broadcast all from their mobile device.

Team staff can enter scorekeeping by tapping “Score Game” from the game event screen or from the “Today’s Games” section in the app on game day.

In soccer, field hockey, hockey, lacrosse and water polo, GameChanger will allow users to track the game’s score, current period, and who’s in the game. You’ll also be able to assign the following plays to your team’s players:

• Goals
• Assists
• Missed Shots
• Saves

In football and rugby, you can track each type of scoring play.

What's Next?

Later this season, stats will be available for many of these sports. We’ll also integrate play-by-plays and box scores with live video streams.
