How To Watch GameChanger on a Smart TV

There are three easy, direct ways we recommend to view GameChanger on your television screen, and most require no extra cables or equipment. 

Use Phone Mirroring to Share Your Screen via WiFi

One way to get your athlete’s game onto the big screen is to use the mirroring option on your smartphone. This option works whether you have an Apple device or an Android device. Once you’ve accessed a live stream on GameChanger, either swipe down to tap the AirPlay icon (iOS), or swipe down to open Quick Settings and look for options like “Cast,” “Smart View,” “Screen Cast,” or “Wireless Display” (Android). From there, select your Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible smart TV (iOS) or Chromecast or Cast-enabled smart TV (Android) from the options to begin mirroring the GameChanger live stream onto the larger screen. 

Use an HDMI Cable for a Direct Connection

No Wifi connection? No problem! Use an HDMI cable to create a direct connection to your TV from your smaller device. Depending on the device you use — Apple or Android, tablet, smartphone, or laptop — you might require an adaptor to properly connect to an HDMI cable. Apple phones and tablets might need an Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter (for iPhones/iPads with a Lightning port) or a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (for newer iPads with USB-C), while Android phones and tablets might require a USB-C to HDMI adapter (sometimes called a USB-C hub with HDMI).

Connect your device to your television using the appropriate adaptor (if needed) and an HDMI cable, then select the HDMI channel input on your TV. From here, navigate to the GameChanger live stream on your device and begin watching it on your TV. 

If you’re using a laptop, you might also need to adjust your screen settings. To do this on a Mac, head to System Settings and then click on Displays, then choose “Mirror Display” if you want the same content on both screens. On Windows, press Windows + P on your keypad and then choose “Duplicate” or “Second Screen Only.”

View a Live Stream on the Web

You can also choose to watch a live streamed game online at web.gc.com. Use a smart TV’s built-in web browser to navigate directly to the stream just like you would on a computer, then enjoy watching on a bigger screen.
